What Pose Should I Pick For My Wedding Portrait?

3 digital drawings of wedding couples

If you’re considering hiring a live artist for your wedding, you’ve probably seen a fair few paintings by now so you may already have an idea of the moment you want your artist to capture. However, you might not – and that’s ok!

Luckily, a live wedding artist is not only skilled in painting, but also in drawing out the best of you and your partner and can guide you in the poses that will be sure to capture your special connection.

I've compiled a few crowd favourites that rarely disappoint, to get you started, but also included a few others to consider for that something a bit different.

I’ve categorised them into 3 main groups:

Embraces – mostly static poses that offer a tender moment between you both.

Movement – poses with energy and movement.

Wild Cards – these, non-traditional, poses could be just the ticket!

Embraces

  • The first kiss as a married couple (1)

  • Face to face can be really intimate (2,3 & 4)

  • Embrace from behind (5 & 6)

Movement

Wild Cards
