Planning a Wedding? A Plea from your Friendly Wedding Supplier

Planning a wedding is pretty much a full-time job these days and it’s no wonder that many couples hire planners and coordinators to help with organising their special day.

However, if that’s out of your budget, or just not your style, and you’re flying solo on the ‘wedmin’ please do read the following small, but heartfelt, plea from your friendly wedding supplier.

Wedding Fair

Picture the scene, you’ve attended some wedding fairs, been handed goodness knows how many leaflets and business cards and spoken to that many wedding suppliers they are all merging into one. But you have to start somewhere, so you start firing off some enquiry emails to those that have piqued your interest.

Those initial emails may not feel significant, but when that expression of interest lands in the inbox of a wedding supplier, they do a happy little dance and get all excited! They will eagerly reply ready to share with you all the information you need about the service they are so passionate about, possibly offering a call or video chat to meet you properly.

You see that reply, but also the reply from all the other suppliers you reached out to and maybe it gets overwhelming. Maybe life just happens and you can’t reply just now. We get it.

But for the wedding suppliers, those pesky little worry monsters start to creep in and suddenly we’re wondering what happened to you.

Did you prefer a different supplier?

Did we forget to attach the brochure?

Were we too expensive?

Did we say something awful in our reply?

Trust me, all sorts of ludicrous possibilities will pass through the minds of even the most stable suppliers!

So my plea to you is simply this – please don’t be afraid to be honest and just let us know.

It’s absolutely fine to have gone with a different supplier! We know our service might not be for everyone, but we will always wish you the best day and be happy that you’ve found the supplier that’s perfect for you!

It’s absolutely fine if you’re not ready to commit and make a decision just yet! Too much going on? No problem, just let us know and we can check back in at a later date.

It’s absolutely fine if you don’t see the perfect option in the supplier’s brochure for your day! Let them know – you never know, they may be able to create you a bespoke package that fits all your needs!
