Emma and Alam's Wedding
Nestled in the middle of Cheltenham, you'll find the stunning wedding venue of Manor by the Lake. A Victorian Manor house set in seven acres of enchanted, private gardens. The drive up to the main building is nothing short of impressive and it doesn't take long to also appreciate the beautiful, wellkept grounds. So it's no surprise Emma and Alam chose this as their wedding venue.
I was contacted by Emma earlier this year to capture their wedding in a live wedding painting and after meeting with them I knew this one would be special. The day was glorious sunshine which was perfect for their outdoor ceremony under the bandstand. Surrounded by friends and family, Emma and Alam were married.
When choosing the perfect moment to capture in their live wedding painting, this couple were keen to incorporate the bandstand as this was something they fell in love with when viewing the venue so we shot some images walking back down the aisle and all agreed this was the winning moment.
I really enjoyed creating this painting throughout the day and Emma & Alam's guests were so lovely to interact with. The end of the night reveal was so sweet too.
This was the painting at the end of the night. As always, I return to the studio with the painting to fully complete it with many more layers of paint. The background is developed first to achieve my signature 'bokeh' soft, fuzzy glow after which my attention turns to refining the couples' portrait.
After several further hours of painting it was ready to be mounted and collected.
