Hot off the press, I’ve made The Wedding Industry Awards Regional Finals!

I’m so excited, honoured and proud to have been selected as a regional finalist for the second year running in The Wedding Industry Awards, otherwise affectionately known as TWIA.

Last year’s entry was following a very unexpected nomination from one of my couples which prompted me to enter, and I went on to win Highly Commended in the Newcomer category. This was a huge ‘pinch me’ moment because I was only a year into my business at this point and still didn’t really know what I was doing! So to be recognised in such a prestigious setting was truly an honour.

This year, I’m lucky to still qualify as a Newcomer so I am entered into two categories (Newcomer & Special Touch).
There’s currently not an artist category in the awards, so anyone of that ilk is joined by any other supplier that offers something a little different in the Special Touch category. I can’t even begin to imagine the task the judges have on their hands to compare businesses with such different focuses, but obviously I am hoping that this year, I will come away with a win, in either category.

The judging process is made up of two parts. Firstly, I reached out to all eligible couples to ask them to vote for me. They then scored me against a number of statements covering the booking process and on the day experience etc. The second stage moves to a judging panel who read my profile, view my videos and images as well as explore my website and social media. Then a winner for each category will be chosen along with possibly some highly commended candidates.
This now does mean that I need to find something glitzy and glam to wear for the awards ceremony! Last year was a fabulous affair at Silchester Farm, near Reading and it was wonderful to see, and meet, so many other fellow suppliers in the industry.

This year we will be heading to Froyle Park in Hampshire on Wednesday 26th November 2025 to see if I’ve made it as a winner!
